Jessica Lugo-Jara is a Senior Associate at Buxbaum, supporting the firm’s outsourced accounting services. She brings expertise in technical accounting, financial analysis, and process improvement developed through progressive roles in accounting and finance.

Her work focuses on financial statement analysis, working capital assessments, accounting due diligence. She has experience in fixed asset accounting, CAPEX project tracking, lease accounting under ASC 842, and coordinating with external auditors during annual audits.
She is skilled in reconciliation procedures, month-end close processes, and establishing controls that ensure GAAP compliance and financial accuracy.

Prior to joining Buxbaum, Jessica was a Senior Accountant at Superior Grocers, where she managed CAPEX project accounting and fixed asset records. Earlier in her career, she gained foundational experience as a Financial Analyst and Staff Accountant, developing strong technical accounting skills and analytical capabilities. Throughout these roles, she has consistently improved processes, documented procedures, and trained team members to strengthen financial operations.
